How to choose
- Fewest shots: Love Notes (18s, 8 shots, 4 clips) opens on a typed love letter on an envelope with three photo stamps and a wax seal, then plays the mornings it was written about. It has a Letter line you write yourself.
- For Valentine's, Be Mine (18s, 14 shots) frames a beating heart with eight photos and floats hearts over the clips, with a Names line.
- For a cosy day in, Pancake Sunday (18s, 11 shots) runs a film strip with a light leak and warm script, and Fireside (19s, 13 shots) resolves four tiles out of blur with flickering firelight and embers.
- For a date night at home, Movie Night (18s, 13 shots) opens with a film-leader countdown and closes on "Credits roll". For a road trip, Wanderlove (18s, 13 shots) lays your photos out along the side of a van. Both have no text.
What to shoot first
- Set up a few photos of the two of you together before anything else. Almost every love template opens on one.
- Shoot close: hands, faces close together, a kiss. Several slots ask for exactly that ("Close", "Kiss", "Faces close").
- Film three or four short clips of ordinary moments: cooking, dancing in the kitchen, lying around doing nothing.
- Collect a portrait of each of you on your own. Movie Night has separate "Her" and "Him" slots, and Wanderlove has one for "Him or her".
- Include the dog if you have one. Be Mine and Fireside both have slots for your pet.
- For Love Notes, look for soft light: a window, light through a curtain, a doorway.
- Write the words first. If you are using Love Notes, Pancake Sunday, Be Mine or Fireside, draft the title and closing line before you open the app.

How many photos do I need for a couple reel?

Between 8 and 14 shots. Love Notes needs 8, Pancake Sunday needs 11, Wanderlove, Fireside and Movie Night need 13, and Be Mine needs 14. Three or four of those slots take short video clips.
Which template is best for Valentine's Day?

Can I write a message to my partner in the reel?
