Memories Reel Templates
Memories reel templates are for the photos that do not belong to one event: a season, a year, a place you keep going back to. ReelXo has two, and both are built from exactly 6 photos with no video needed, so you can make one from your camera roll in a few minutes.
Paper Grid (18s) lays six pictures out on a printed page over a blurred wash of one of them, like a magazine spread. Slow Burn (20s) runs two long holds and four cuts on the beat, then closes on the frame it opened with. Both have three text lines for a title and the words around it.

How to choose
- Want a still, editorial collage? Pick Paper Grid. Your photos sit on one page: a cover shot, a big headline photo across the top and three small tiles.
- Want movement? Pick Slow Burn. Three of its shots are on screen for half a second each, and the reel ends where it started.
- Both take 6 photos and no video. Paper Grid is 18 seconds, Slow Burn is 20.
- Paper Grid's text sits like a magazine cover (Cover title, a line above it and a line under the collage). Slow Burn has a Title, a line under it and a Closing line.
What to shoot first
- Pick a cover shot first: the one you would put on the front. For Paper Grid, choose another with soft colours for "The wash", since its blurred version is the page and the last frame.
- For Paper Grid's small tiles, choose details: a hand, a plate, a doorway.
- For Slow Burn, start with a wide, still shot. It opens and closes the reel.
- Choose three photos with movement in them (hands, feet, a face turning) for Slow Burn's half-second quick cuts.
- End Slow Burn on something quiet, with room in the frame.
- Mix close and wide shots so the collage or the cuts have contrast.
